Trust & safety
AskHole only works if it feels safe. Here is how we keep it that way, and the simple habits that keep you protected too.
Verified Pros
Businesses that join as Pros are reviewed and approved before they can pitch for work. Verification is our way of raising the floor, so that when you see a verified Pro, someone has checked they are a real business. It is not a personal guarantee of any single job, so still read their offer and reviews before you decide.
Reviews you can trust
Reviews only come from real, completed work. After a poster marks a job complete, both sides leave one review each. Because a review is tied to an actual request between two real accounts, you are reading feedback from people who actually dealt with each other, not anonymous noise.
Dealing safely
- Keep the conversation on AskHole while you are deciding. The private message thread on each offer keeps a record and lets you share files safely.
- Agree the details in writing before work starts. Scope, price, timing, and what "done" looks like. Clear expectations prevent most disputes.
- Be careful with payment. Payment happens directly between you for now, so treat it as you would any other deal. Be wary of anyone pushing for a large upfront payment or asking you to move off-platform straight away.
- Protect your personal information. Share only what the job needs. Never send passwords, one-time codes, or bank logins.
- Trust your gut. If an offer or a request feels off, you are never obliged to go ahead.
Reporting a problem
If someone breaks the rules, behaves badly, or a request or offer looks like a scam, tell us. Email support@askhole.com.au with a link to the request and what happened. We take reports seriously and can warn, suspend, or remove accounts that put people at risk.
What AskHole does and does not do
What we do
- Connect posters with Pros and members
- Verify businesses before they can pitch
- Keep reviews tied to real, completed work
- Act on reports and remove bad actors
- Give you the tools to message and share safely
What we do not do
- Perform or supervise the work itself
- Hold or process payments (for now)
- Set or guarantee prices
- Act as a party to your agreement
- Mediate the outcome of a job or a dispute
AskHole is the place you meet and agree. The work and the payment are between you and the other person. That is why a clear request, a clear offer, and a clear agreement matter so much.
