Community Guidelines
AskHole works because people treat each other well. These guidelines keep it that way. They apply to everyone, whether you are posting a request, sending an offer, or leaving a review.
The spirit of it
Be honest, be respectful, and deal in good faith. Most of what follows is common sense, but writing it down means everyone knows what to expect. Breaking these guidelines can mean your content is removed or your account is suspended.
Be honest and accurate
- Describe requests and offers truthfully. Do not misrepresent who you are, your skills, or a price.
- Only put your hand up for work you can actually do.
- Do not impersonate another person or business.
Be respectful
- Keep messages civil, even when you disagree or a deal falls through.
- No harassment, discrimination, hate speech, threats, or abuse of any kind.
- Respect people's time. If you are no longer interested, say so.
Keep it safe
- Keep the conversation on AskHole while you are deciding, so there is a record.
- Do not pressure anyone to move off-platform, pay large amounts upfront, or share sensitive details they do not need to.
- Never ask for or share passwords, one-time codes, or banking logins.
Post lawful requests and offers only
Do not use AskHole for anything illegal or unsafe. That includes, but is not limited to, weapons, illegal drugs, stolen goods, anything that requires a licence you do not hold, adult services, or work that would put someone at risk. If it would be illegal offline, it is not allowed here.
Reviews with integrity
- Only review real, completed interactions.
- No fake, paid, incentivised, or retaliatory reviews.
- Keep reviews about the work and the experience, not personal attacks.
No spam or self-dealing
- No spam, mass-messaging, or advertising unrelated to a request.
- Do not create fake accounts, or use multiple accounts to game offers, reviews, or verification.
Respect privacy
Share only what a job needs, and do not post other people's personal information without their consent. Treat what you learn about someone through a deal as private.
What happens if the rules are broken
Depending on what happened, we may remove content, issue a warning, or suspend or remove an account. Serious or repeated breaches, and anything that puts people at risk, can mean an immediate ban. We use judgement and aim to be fair.
Reporting a problem
If someone breaks these guidelines or something feels wrong, tell us. Email support@askhole.com.au with a link to the request and what happened. See Trust & safety for more on dealing safely and reporting.
Changes
We may update these guidelines as AskHole grows. When we do, we will update the date below. These guidelines were last updated on {{POLICY_LAST_UPDATED}}. They sit alongside our Terms of Use.
